Online or Electronic Encounter Form
The Practice Management Software we will be demonstrating this process from calls Encounter Forms Charge Slips. Most offices are familiar with Encounter Forms, Routing Slips, Charge Tickets but for now we will call the Charge Slips. Charge Slips come in 2 forms including a paper print out or electronic option. Charge Slips reflects all procedure codes and diagnosis codes specific to that appointment type.

When a patient is scheduled at the appointment scheduler depending on the appointment type selected the correct charge slip will be printed or maintained in an electronic format for viewing. After the medical office visit is completed the provider of services, front office or medical billing service will indicate the services rendered.
Select the procedure codes, modifiers and diagnosis codes specific to this office visit and then indicate if the patient needs to be recalled for any reason. |
Click the process button and the charge is now posted to the practice management software system.
The Charge Slip feature also alerts the medical office to patients that were scheduled on the appointment scheduler but have not had charges posted to them yet.
