Patient Display Memos
Statement memos, Insurance claim memos, HIPAA compliant memos, regular pop up memos and HIPAA consent memos. Within the practice management system you may need to add automated memos that populate in the correct field.
The pop up memos will appear when you pull up the patient within any screen so you can read information about any internal messages created about the patient. You can also view additional information within this memo including: referring provider, authorized visits by the insurance carrier, maximum charge amount set by the insurance carrier, expiration date of the preauthorization, number of office visits used, dollar amount used and copayment amounts.

The hidden memo is for those patients with sensitive information about them that you wouldn’t want to be read inappropriately. This alerts the medical office that the patient has a sensitive message so they to review the memo in a private setting.
Statement memos are notes that will go out on the patient’s billing statement. This is a great way to inform the patient as to why the health insurance carrier is denying the claim. |
Insurance memos are mini notes that go out on claim line 19 on the CMS 1500 medical claim form.
Consent memos track when the patient fills out the HIPAA consent form along with an expiration date to alert you when you need to have the patient re-sign the HIPAA consent form.
